Donate items to the December 12-13 Silent Auction

How would you like to support a local barbershop chorus supporting youth outreach and music programs in the Denver-Metro area?  Would you or your company be willing to donate Silent Auction items for this year’s Christmas show?

The Sound of the Rockies ( is a world famous men’s chorus which performs annual holiday and spring concerts every December and March at the DU Newman Center. Our holiday shows are great way for anyone to get into the holiday spirit. There will be 3 shows this year. The first on Friday evening, December 12th as well as an afternoon & evening show on Saturday December 13th. We are looking for anything that you think can be auctioned off to a wide variety of people. In the past we have had items like: gift certificates, massage vouchers, facials, voice/golf/dance lessons, timeshares, homemade quilts, new clothing items, homemade gift baskets, rounds of golf, hotel stays, Broncos/Avalanche/Nuggets tickets, timeshares… you name it.  The proceeds will all go to the Sound of the Rockies for funding of things like youth outreach programs and free voice lessons offered to the Denver community every year. Sound of the Rockies also competes at regional and International competitions 2‐3 times a year. Some of the money made from your silent auction donations will also be used towards scholarships that go to some of the men and college students to help pay for the costs of airfare, hotel, etc. when traveling to competitions. Currently, Sound of the Rockies is ranked 4th  in the world and we are proud to call Denver, Colorado our home! The annual silent auction is a great way to help support our group and your donations can be a great year‐end TAX DEDUCTION since we are a 501(c)(3) non‐profit organization.

This can also be a great way to promote your business. There will be approximately 3,000 people enjoying the Sound of the Rockies during the concert weekend. So, your product and company will be in front of many of our loyal patrons, family members and members of our chorus.  If you put a gift basket or item together for the auction, you can include your business card and brochures, if you would like, to be displayed with the item. If your donation is worth over $100.00 you can also take advantage of FREE advertising with a business card‐sized ad in our show program! This is a great way to market your business and get your name out there for a lot of people to see.
