Thank you to everyone who came out for Sound of the Rockies’ Christmas show last week. We very much appreciate the loyalty of our long-time fans and were thrilled to see so many new faces in the crowds on Friday and Saturday.
Nearly 2,500 people attended Snowbound! and from all accounts, a good time was had by all. It was a wonderful holiday event full of Christmas spirit, with everyone looking festive and a warm and friendly Colorado community feel. The chorus works hard every year to include something for everyone, “lifers” and newcomers, young and old alike. As always, SOR celebrated both the sublime spiritual classics and popular holiday tunes during the more than 2-hour show. Fan favorites included a gorgeous performance of “Mary Did You Know” (see our performance of this song from 2016) and a humorous reading of “The 12 Days of Christmas” that had the audience in stitches.
Thanks to our beloved Master of Ceremonies EZ1430’s Rick Crandall and Acappellooza-winning Collide Vocals and guitarist Mike Strausbaugh for lending your incredible talents to Snowbound!
But, in the end, no show can be a success without a great audience. We love to share our passion for music and the season, and there’s nothing better than looking out and seeing happy, smiling audiences, singing along. Thank you.
